Quinn: We Will Deal With Drought

Illinois farmers will likely take a big hit this year thanks to extreme weather conditions but Governor Quinn says he won't leave them out to dry.

Quinn says he's been in touch with the Drought Initiative Task Force and the Farm Bureau.  He says he'll unveil a plan on Monday on how the state plans to deal with the drought.  Illinois exports billions of dollars worth of food and other goods to nations all across the world.  Quinn says the drought presents a challenge but he'll do as much as possible to help farmers.
