Students at Springfield High School became chefs for the day, experimenting with recipes using the incredible, edible egg. Senior Dalton Konneker enjoys cooking with eggs and says he's created several recipes of his own including a lemon, mushroom omelet.
Konneker says the creation was a big hit among his classmates. Officials with the state's Department of Agriculture were on hand urging students to be creative. Karen Fraase [[Fray-zee]] says that's just what they did, considering they made dishes ranging from egg and veggie pizzas to Doritos and cheese omelets. The educational workshop is partly funded by egg producers across the state and even some across the nation.
