The Lincoln Heritage Museum will hold a grand opening for its new location and look this Saturday.
The museum, located on the Lincoln College Campus in Lincoln, will present an opening ceremony before being open to the public. The event will be held in front of the entrance to the Museum with weather permitting. Museum Director Ron Keller explains the morning will feature several speeches from various historians, college officials and Lincoln Mayor Keith Snyder. One special portion of the ceremony will be an original music composition from Abraham Lincoln's favorite poem entitled, "Mortality".
The museum will open to the public for free after the ceremony. The tour will not include the immersive interactive experience during that time, but visitors will be able to walk around freely and touch various items throughout the museum. Keller notes various Lincoln College students will be on hand to perform throughout the morning. Another exciting aspect of the morning will be carriage rides through the campus.
The unveiling of the new location of the Lincoln Heritage Museum will take place this Saturday, April 26th at 10 am. The new location can be found at 1115 Nicholson Road on the north side of the Lincoln College Campus.
Regular Hours will be Monday-Friday 9am-4pm and Saturdays 1pm-4pm.
