On 03/28/12 at 9:02am, Clinton Police responded to a hit and run accident on west Jefferson St. Witnesses reported a red mercury hit a garbage can, which in turn struck the rear of a vehicle, damaging the tail light cover. The vehicle damaged belongs to Nicole E. Forsberg of Clinton. The accident is still under investigation.
On 03/28/12 at 10:08am, Clinton Police arrested Derek S. Ayers, 19, of Clinton on the charged of Domestic Battery. He was transported to DCSO jail and turned over to the correctional staff.
