The DeWitt County Board Thursday night could name the replacement for the late Tom Pruser.
Pruser's seat on the Board has been vacant since his passing in late June. Tonight, the County Board's agenda features a motion to appoint Pruser's widow, Christina, to the fill his unexpired term. She would represent District B, with the term to expire November 30, 2014.

Richard L. "Dick" Eades, 79, of Monticello, passed away at 12:42 a.m. Tuesday (July 22, 2014) at his home.
His funeral service will be at 11 a.m. Friday at Mackey-Wright Funeral Home, Monticello, with Deacon Bob Lane officiating. Visitation will be from 4 to 7 p.m. Thursday also at the funeral home and one prior to the service Friday.

Mabel H. Marten, 95, of Lincoln, formerly of Emden, died at 6:40 a.m. Tuesday (July 22, 2014) at Lincoln Christian Village.
Mabel was born Feb. 16, 1919, in Emden, the daughter of Folkert and Ella Alberts Eeten. She married Harold H. Marten on Nov. 29, 1941, in Emden. He preceded her in death Aug. 13, 1984.
